Phil Varnak is a human resources management consultant with over forty years of Human Resource management experience. Most of that experience is as a federal employee working for the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation and several medical centers under the Department of Veteran Affairs as well as managing his own Human Resources consulting business since 1998. He served as human resource director for two VA medical centers during his career and Director of Labor and Employee Relations for the Bureau of Reclamation. Phil is a graduate of the University of West Virginia with a degree in education, and he holds a diploma in health care administration from the Armed Forces Graduate School. He is internationally certified as a senior professional in human resources (SPHR) by the Society for Human Resource Management.

Comment on recently taught 40-Hour Basic Supervision Course
Phil is a good instructor, but he outdid himself on this course. The group was difficult, a mixture of new and experienced supervisors, all having dozens of questions and concerns. Phil handled each one beautifully. He did an outstanding job. There isn't a thing I would change in this course. It's very comprehensive and as I said before, the participant workbook is great.
